The largest business district in Europe with 3600 companies, La Défense’s high-towers and buildings west of Paris offer a thorough panorama into modern architecture. Started in 1960 with the CNIT building followed by a series of iconic towers such as Engie, Areva, Total, Cœur Défense, Carpe Diem, Residence Lorraine, Suez and the Grande Arche, the more recent high-towers such as Majunga (2014), D2 (2015), Saint Gobain (2019) and Alto (2020) meet the latest eco-friendly and sustainable requirements. During our tour, we will explore the diversity of these constructions over the last decades.
