Influenced by the 1920\u2019s movement the Bauhaus, modern architecture (or modernism) is a style marked by the use of steel and reinforced concrete<\/strong> and by the lack of ornementation<\/strong> offered a radical break with the past tradition.<\/p>\n

Our tour will allow us to visit the Maison La Roche<\/strong> (1925) where Le Corbusier<\/strong> applied for the first time his five-point architectural theories : free plan and walls, building on top of stilts, ribbon windows and the rooftop. In the same neighbourhood, the architect Robert Mallet Stevens<\/strong> built a series of five modern private mansions<\/strong>\u00a0which will also be commented.<\/p>\n

The tour includes a visit to the Raoul La Roche house.<\/p>\n
