Inspired by the Modernist movement<\/strong>, embodied by Le Corbusier<\/strong>, the \u2018brutalist\u2019 architectural\u2019s movement derives its name from the use of raw materials<\/strong> such as reinforced concrete, bricks, steel and glass being clearly visible on the new constructions. Paris\u2019s 13th district in the east displays a wide range of brutalists\u2019 buildings<\/strong> : the Tolbiac university, the Tour du Nouveau Monde, the Maison de la Batellerie, the imposing Caserne Massena, the Olympiades towers, which you will discover through this tour, as well as a contemporary building which testify to the revival of modern architecture.<\/p>\n
