The Saint Louis Island with its dominant position on the Seine and elegant mansions was in the 17th century a privileged place to live for the nobility<\/strong>. The Saint Louis island was built principally by two architects, the brothers Louis and Fran\u00e7ois Le Vau. The architectural style is very consistent amongst the elegant mansions to be found here. During our tour, we will see where such famous historical figures lived<\/strong> such as Marshall de Richelieu at the Hotel d\u2019Astry, the Duke of Lauzun and Charles Baudelaire at Hotel de Lauzun, the Marquise du Ch\u00e2telet and the prince Adam Czartorisky at the Hotel Lambert, Camille Claudel at the H\u00f4tel de Jassaud and Princess Bibesco at the Maison du Centaure.<\/p>\n
